About Dr. Santiago

Dr. Kenneth Santiago is the Lead Principal Investigator for Vitalix Clinical’s Myrtle Beach location. A board-certified Internal Medicine physician with more than two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Santiago has dedicated his career to caring for medically complex patients across hospital, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, outpatient, and home-based settings. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Baystate Medical Center/Tufts University School of Medicine and is board certified in Internal Medicine.

As the founder of a thriving multispecialty practice in the Myrtle Beach area, Dr. Santiago recognized that many patients continued to struggle despite currently available treatment options. Seeing the need to provide access to innovative therapies before they become widely available, he partnered with Vitalix Clinical to establish the Myrtle Beach research site. Today, the site combines a large behavioral health network with a multispecialty medical practice, creating broad access to diverse patient populations across CNS and general medicine indications.

Dr. Santiago has served as Principal Investigator on numerous clinical trials spanning psychiatry, central nervous system disorders, and general medicine. His experience includes studies in major depressive disorder, treatment-resistant depression, Alzheimer’s disease agitation, pediatric insomnia, gastroenterology, cardiovascular disease, and other therapeutic areas.

Under Dr. Santiago’s leadership, the Myrtle Beach location is focused on delivering high-quality clinical research while expanding access to cutting-edge treatment options for patients throughout the region.
